Always thought gin was a vile drink until I discovered it comes in lots of lovely fruity flavours meaning it doesn't actually taste like gin to a massive non-connoisseur like me. Superheroes This was the title of the monthly art challenge my daughter set me. Open to any interpretation of this theme, the choices were numerous. Aahh - the picnic. It's never how you think it will be. This was done for the art group monthly challenge for June on the subject of 'Picnic Time'. Moonrise

Acrylic on acrylic board. This is really entitled 'Moonrise over Amarynth' from The Soul Fishers which I am still writing but will totally finish this year. Don't think I've ever painted a landscape before and certainly not a night-time scene so it's ok for a first attempt.
