Just fancied something different. Also, I very rarely paint figures but I’m currently in the mood (love Glenn Miller!) so am striking while the inclination is hot. Really enjoyed painting this. Normally I like my images to be ‘clean’ but I wanted to capture movement and to do that there needs to be an energy about the image which you can’t get if you don’t paint more freely. A good exercise.

I had fun painting this as it’s not my style at all – not that I really have a style but, even so, it’s definitely not this! Not fussed about detail – just wanted to capture the movement.
